Answering an interview question is not a difficult job if you keep your focus and be calm and collected. Relax and think about the question before you answer it. We have both interview questions and answers that you will need to read carefully before going for an interview. It is very important that you take time out and actually prepare for an interview. There are few interview questions asked that are generic and fit in to any situation. Best interview questions to ask are those that actually check the capability of the candidate and make it easy to judge if he is actually worth the job. JOB INTERVIEW QUESTIONSHere you will find few of the most common interview questions that are asked by employers during an interview. Are you prepared to appear for an interview? Consider this a rehearsal before the actual interview and find out how good you are when it comes to interview stage. Try to answer it first on your own and then check out what professionals have to say about those interview questions answers. Are you ready? Stated below are questions for interview along with their appropriate answers. These sample frequently asked job interview questions include: behavioral interview questions, HR interview questions, technical interview questions, management interview questions, marketing interview questions and much more. These questions are applicable on any sort of interview.
Never mention weaknesses that highlight your negative aspects like “I take a lot of stress or tension”. This tells the employee that you are not suitable for the job. Instead focus on your positives in such a manner that it may appear as your weakness whereas in actual it’s not. For example “I seek perfection in every work that I do and give in 110% for every work which at times is not required”. Mention the good points about your company like people working there, supportive environment, good working conditions, vision of the company and company policies etc. Again, be very careful when you answer this question. You can mention certain policies that you didn’t like, like pension fund, or other benefits that were not provided. The best thing is that you stick to over all policies and not target a particular personality or department like there is employee discrimination in my department. Here you must be as precise as possible. Clearly say yes if you have. It would be better if you say that you have applied but for the same post or like “I have applied for vacancies related to this particular post”. Even if you have applied for different posts, don’t mention them to the employer. This shows that you are desperate to get any type of job. Mention few of your best qualities like hard worker, team player, co operative, passionate, proactive, decisive etc. If there was any comment that your colleague passed about you that you are proud of then do mention that. Here, you should describe in detail how your skills were put to test. How well did you perform? Highlight the major issues that you resolved at your workplace. For example: “You were leading your group and had to complete an emergency consignment to be delivered in 2 days. Explain how you made efficient use of time and planned your task. How you made use of your leadership skills to accomplish that task.” It is always advised that you don’t jump straight away to the amount. Ask them about job role/ responsibilities and how much are they willing to pay. After they brief you then give a wide range of your salary scale and don’t tell them one figure, so that you can compensate on a figure in between. Here you must again put emphasis on your strong points. In a sentence or two explain what you have already mentioned and what you can bring in to the organization. Clearly tell them why you think that you would be an asset for the organization. For example: your work experience along with personal qualities and background that make you an ideal candidate for the job. Don’t panic. Stay calm and focused. Remember the keyword here is IF. They are not saying that it was terrible but rather if they had said. This shows that they are trying to test your emotions i.e. how you react to criticism? It is not the answer that the interviewer is looking for rather your reaction. If you remain focused and do not panic then you are likely to win yourself a job. Always be prepared to ask a question. Do some research about the company before hand and prepare a question that shows that you have done your homework or that you are aware of the happenings related to the company and the industry as a whole. At the end, always ask them when they will inform you about the interview results and always write a thank you letter to the interviewer in order to increase your chances of being hired.
